THANKSGIVING MEALS FOR WWCM
In the past month, our Apex UMC Family has shown an amazing outpouring of love to our sisters and brothers in need—both locally and beyond. Most recently, our campuses provided over 120 Thanksgiving meals, through our partnership with Western Wake Crisis Ministry, to those in our community who might go without this holiday season.
WWCM works year-round to help local families achieve self-sufficiency and stability. WWCM’s food pantry offers visitors the opportunity to “shop” for the items they need, free of charge. The pantry is open to Apex, New Hill and Friendship residents, up to once every 30 days, and is stocked by donations from individuals and organizations in the community. The Apex UMC Family provides support with donations throughout the year, but we make a special ask of our congregation each Thanksgiving.
WWCM anticipates a distribution to at least 200 families this Thanksgiving. If you were unable to be with us in worship, you can still help! Donate the cost of a meal, $50, online at wwcm.org. Thank you for your generous support of our neighbors in need!
