This past week, we saw God in some amazing ways during the Apex Outreach Service Project (AOSP). From July 16-22, over 110 students from our Apex UMC Family spent the night at the church and the day working on the homes of senior citizens in Wake County to make them warmer, drier and safer.

This year, we were able to help families at 18 homes in our community by repairing roofs, replacing flooring, remodeling decks, building handicap ramps, painting, repairing siding, plumbing, yard work, debris removal, and more. In addition to the students, we had over 350 adults who served as team leaders and site supervisors, cooked meals, took pictures, chaperoned in the evening and stayed overnight with the students. All told, there were over 500 people involved in making this week a huge success!

AOSP is a week of watching Christian love at its best and seeing God do great things through seemingly small actions. If you would like to see some of this great work, check out what our youth had to say about the week on our Facebook page.
