In Revelation 7, John dreams of a time when “a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people, and language, will stand before the throne and before the Lamb.” This great multitude has experienced the freedom of being made new in Christ, and join together to honor their God and their savior.
In the early church, after receiving the out pouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, the people of God gathered in homes and in underground churches to join together for studying the apostles’ teaching, for fellowship, for breaking of bread, and for prayer (Acts 2:42). They held things in common so everyone might know the fullness of being members of God’s family, brothers and sisters linked together by God’s claim on their lives, individually, and collectively.
When we gather to worship as one church family, we enter into these ancient and eternal rhythms.
Bring your friends and neighbors! We will have designated parking for seniors and those with limited mobility. There are plenty of seats in the amphitheater, but you can also bring a chair or blanket. If you need help with transportation, we are offering a shuttle bus. To reserve your spot, contact Becki Leeland or call the church office at 919-362-7807.
Inclement weather: If the weather looks severe, we will inform everyone of a venue change via email, social media, and phone by 5 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26.
One of the shared missions all of our campuses is collecting food for those who may not have a consistent source. This year at All Family Worship, we will collect items to be shared with Aulander, Feed the Kids, Apex High School Food Pantry and Western Wake Crisis Ministry.
Please bring cereal/granola bars, individual servings of oatmeal, individual servings of peanut butter, Beenie Weenies, individual fruit cups or individual cups of mac & cheese. Collection bins will be available on site. Thank you!
Bring your kids to All Family Worship! This special service is not only an opportunity for all of our faith communities to come together, it is also a wonderful time for your children to experience worship as a part of our larger family. There will be a children’s moment during the service, after which they will return to their families. Don’t worry about them being noisy – we love hearing their sweet voices praising God!
After worship, please stay! Bring a picnic lunch for your family and we’ll have games and bounce houses for the kids.
